It’s a crazy busy week for me so I’ll have to keep it short. My life at the moment revolves around booking tickets and packing for a brief visit back home to Australia, before heading off overseas again.

I’m also busy finalising a great collection of summer/spring dresses, including this one that will soon be available for purchase at Shop Friend in Fashion – exciting right!

Be sure to stay tuned.

I’m wearing:
Dress - Available for purchase at Shop Friend in Fashion SOON
Shoes – Hang Ngon, Hanoi
Hat - Hang Ngon, Hanoi

P.S. I’ve also got a really great collaboration coming up with the super talented Nichol Brooklyn.

You can check out our last collaboration here - baby you can drive my car and here – summer in the city.

Crazy for stripes

It’s now less than two weeks left for me here in Vietnam. Next on the itinerary, back home to a cold, wintery Australia for one week, before heading off again with my sights set on Europe.

As I start to pack my suitcase, I’m noticing just how many striped shirts, skirts and dresses I own, so I’d thought I’d play around with my latest striped dress purchase, by styling with, yep you guessed it, more stripes!

I’m wearing:
Dress: Markets, Hanoi
Blazer: Zara
Boots: Charlotte Russe

P.S. Thanks to the super gorgeous Liv, of lovers in vain for sending through my Grazia Magazine feature. I was also thrilled to be announced as Weardrobe's spotlight blogger of the day.

Luv thy trouser

It’s official, I have an unhealthy obsession with these trousers!

I purchased these a couple of months ago, from Urban Outfitters whilst touring the United States and have gotten so much wear out of them.

Whether worn dressed up, with a blazer (Up town girl, seen here) or dressed down with a tank top and fedora (Copacabana, seen here), the cut and colour is so versatile.

These trousers have quickly become a travelling wardrobe staple of mine. What is your can’t-live-without wardrobe essential?

I’m wearing:
Trousers – Urban Outfitters
Tank – ‘borrowed’ from my fiancĂ©
Shoes – Charlotte Russe
Belt – Markets, Hanoi

P.S. I was thrilled beyond words to hear that I made an appearance in this month’s Grazia Magazine! Unfortunately no Grazia for me here in Vietnam, so if any Aussie readers have a scanned copy, I'd love a sneak peak.

I write you, sun-kissed, upon return from an amazing weekend away in the beautiful Halong Bay.

Saturday morning we kicked off our adventure with a three hour drive through provincial north-eastern Vietnam, before jumping on-board the aptly named Jasmine junk boat.

We set sail amidst calm and tranquil waters and enjoyed the fresh air, warm sun and delicious fresh-caught seafood. An absolute highlight was a visit to one of the four, brightly coloured, floating fishing communities which occupy the Bay.

A trip to Vietnam would be incomplete without a visit to Halong Bay. The UNESCO World Heritage site is one of the most beautiful places the country has on offer and offers perfect respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.

As mentioned in my last post, I picked up these great sandals and pretty floral dress from my favourite shopping spot in Hanoi, Hang Ngon, both for less than $20.

In addition to magnificent food, friendly people and a beautiful geography, Vietnam has some really good shopping, particularly if you know where to look. I’ve picked up so many of my now favourite pieces: shoes, dresses and accessories during my stay here, and fear that I’m going to be way over my luggage weight allowance.

I have only three more weeks left to enjoy Vietnam, before heading back to Australia for a week to visit friends and family and then I’m off to explore again! First on the itinerary: Singapore, Barcelona and Portugal.

I’m wearing:
Dress – Hang Ngon, Hanoi
Shoes – Hang Ngon, Hanoi
Vintage charms – Markets (New York)
