Fashion giveaway - Custom made dress or skirt

It’s almost my birthday and what better way to celebrate than with a giveaway!

Throughout the entire month of November, I am giving my gorgeous readers the chance to win a custom made piece from Six Twenty Four designer, Alice Wark. Her gorgeous designs are characterised by feminine cuts and easy to care for fabrics.

Alice is a good friend and incredibly talented local designer who will work with the competition winner to create their own dress or skirt. Simply pick which of the displayed designs you would like and then work with Alice to pick your colours, fabric and size.

Race update

After much deliberation, I decided upon a vintage white lace shift dress, with black detailing and embellished satin pumps for my Derby Day outfit. My friend looked stunning in her black asymmetrical cocktail dress and ruffle platform heels.

I am in the process of finalising details for my first giveaway, and it’s a beauty, so stay tuned for details to follow later this week.

Off to the races: Derby Day

I’m off to the races this weekend to enjoy all that Derby Day has on offer - the fashion, sunshine, champagne as well as the ah, racing.

Happy snaps

As promised, here are some happy snaps from my engagement party a couple of weeks ago. It was a great night, and I was ecstatic with the Camilla and Marc, silk and lace dress (Alabama). I styled with nude patent pumps and black bow headband.

Spring has sprung

I had these gorgeous carnations left over from my engagement party last weekend and thought they would compliment the fabulous ‘Farrah’ maxi dress perfectly.

This dress is a part of Children of the Sun’s 2009 Summer Collection and definitely brings out the flower power in me!

On a side note - would you believe I didn’t capture one photo of the entire engagement party! Thankfully my good friends did, and I can’t wait to share soon – so stay tuned!

School holiday fashion fun

Recently, I was invited to run a fashion workshop as part of a library school holiday program for girls aged 15 - 23.


It was a great day and a fabulous opportunity to actively participate in the community.

The workshop covered retail and vintage shopping tips, ways to construct outfits and the latest fashion trends, concluding with the girls creating their own fashion ‘look books’.

There certainly are some great budding designers, artists and stylists out there.
